Child Safety & CSAE Prevention Policy

Scope & Applicability

Confess2ME is an app intended for adults (18+). This page documents our standards, prevention controls, reporting channels, and cooperation with authorities for any suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation observed in the app or associated services.

Definitions

• CSAM / CSAE: Child sexual abuse material and child sexual abuse and exploitation — any content or activity that sexualizes or exploits minors. This includes images, videos, text, or other media.
• Minor / Child: Any person under the age of 18, or under the relevant legal age in a user's jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

How to Report Suspected CSAM / CSAE

In-App Reporting

Use the app's built-in Report button on the content or user profile to submit a report. Reports submitted through the app include contextual metadata to help our review team (e.g., content ID, timestamps).

Emergency / Law Enforcement

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then notify us and local authorities as soon as possible.

Takedown & Response Process

• Acknowledgement: We aim to acknowledge receipt of a report by email within 48 hours whenever contact information is provided.
• Initial triage: Our trust & safety team performs a priority triage to identify immediate threats and confirm whether reported content meets the threshold for CSAM or exploitation.
• Action windows:
  • Urgent removal: Suspected CSAM will be removed or restricted immediately upon preliminary verification.
  • Full review: We will complete a documented review and follow-up actions within 5 business days where possible.
• Law enforcement cooperation: We will promptly preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies, subject to applicable law. This includes sharing account metadata and content details when legally required.

Prevention & Safety Controls

• Age policy: Confess2ME is restricted to users 18+. We require users to affirm their age during sign-up and apply mitigations to discourage underage use.
• Moderation: We maintain a moderation workflow that includes automated filters and human review for content flagged by users or automated systems.
• SDKs & ad networks: We only use SDKs and ad partners that respect our policies; we disclose third-party SDKs in the app's privacy policy and Play Console declarations.
• Parental / guardian safety: Because the product is for adults, we do not provide parental accounts, but we do provide public information about how to report suspected abuse.
• Employee training: Staff who handle reports receive training on safe handling of CSAM reports, privacy, evidence preservation, and legal reporting obligations.

Data Handling & Privacy

When processing reports we collect and securely store only the minimum necessary information to investigate and comply with legal obligations. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details on data retention, access, and deletion rights.

Legal Compliance & Reporting

We comply with applicable national and regional laws regarding child protection, including mandatory reporting to competent authorities where required. When reporting to authorities, we provide evidence and cooperate fully, while complying with data protection regulations.
